East Canyon Boatin' and Rain - Uintaman - 05-29-2012
Took the re tuned boat to EC for a little trolling late morning, rain cleared, got the boat launched, made it to the far far end of the lake. Then the down pour. Hat and rain jacket worked. I need to order the bimini top soon. Picked up a couple trolling repallas. The fishfinder said they were down in the 15 to 30 foot range. Switched to leadcore, a RMT Dodger (flasher) 18 inch to a yellow wolly worm tipped with a small piece of worm.
Unfortunately the fly was given to me, and was barbless.
Lost as many as i caught, a nice challenge, especially trolling solo. Had trouble getting 2nd pole out, because couldn't keep fish off the the first pole. Fun day. Barbless not so bad. Let out about 40 feet to 50 feet lead core, trolled between .5 and 1 mph. Nice healthy fish no sores, pink meat. Kept only the holder overs.
Best news... the boat ran very good, not perfect.
