wetaline, Riverpark, Monster Blue cat, 5-28-2012, Wife and family - FishNews - 05-30-2012
We started off the day at nickajack early this morning due to the worry of boat traffic and although the boat traffic was slow, so was the fishing. We had fun but we didnt want to be that hot and still be fishless so we dropped in at Rivermont on the way home around 2:00 to finish up the day. The traffic wasnt that bad honestly, but it was hot as the dickens. We had threadfin and gizzard shad from nickajack and used them as bait. We caught several largemouth bass and some keeper bream, but the highlight of the day was a monster blue that hit a gizzard shad. He slammed the lightest rod in the water which had 15 lb Pline and took off. I dont have a scale big enough for him but you guys can guess. He put up a great fight and was released for you guys to enjoy so day. All in all a slow day but patience payed off in the end. I havent posted pics in a while so if I run into some difficulty would one of you fellow fisherman care to post them for me. I currently have them on my phone. <br /><br />
