Park pass - southernbass - 06-16-2015

So I'm looking at getting the annual Park pass but was wondering does this pass include launching a boat? The only reason why I want it is to be able to launch a boat and not have to worry about paying the fee every time. Just to make a 1 time payment would be great but never bought one before and just want to know what it includes and is it good for every Harbor in Utah. Thanks for any info

The Park pass is good for boat launching at State Parks only so make sure your favorite spots are covered. I don't think the pass covers camping but I haven't really needed more than the boat launching. Some places like Flamming Gorge are federally managed so the pass won't do you any good there. Anyway I like the pass for Willard, Hyrum and Bear Lake it seems to save time and with the increased day launch fees it saves some money too. Later J

Yes, good for entry, day use, and boat launch at Utah State Parks.

That does not include all lakes, however. Places like Mantua, Pineview, Strawberry and more are not state parks so the pass isn't valid.

It will also give you a discount on your overnight camping fee. Places like Strawberry and Pineview are Federally controlled waters. For some reason though, the Golden Eagle pass for National Parks and Recreation areas does not work for them either. Mantua is a local city driven operation.

Thank you now i have to think about if it's worth it because those are major lakes we want to fish.

My wife has s federal pass because of her disability so most federal lands are taken care of (except where the stupid concessionaire invalidates it[mad]-she gets 50% off camping fees too[Smile]). The state parks pass I have purchased several times and mine expires this month. It is good for all STATE parks including museums. The only one it doesn't work for is this is the place park in SLC.

Thanks AT, that just reminded me my state park pass expires end of this month too.

Hey mine expires too, do you think we can get a bulk discount if we buy in volume? Later J

You can add Antelope Island to that list.

Antelope it works for, the causeway it doesn't.

Re: [albinotrout] Park pass - Kent - 06-16-2015

Well then, I guess one could land by helicopter and be able to save the fee.

My understanding there are two fees there. The park and the causeway.

Re: [southernbass] Park pass - Watershadow - 06-16-2015

totally worth if if you go a lot, its only for state parks though, so bear that in mind. not only is it cheaper for frequent users, but saves time as you dont have to stop and pay everytime, just drive right in.

does not cover camping.

I have used an annual State Park Pass for probably 8 or 9 years now, and after just 5 t rips to Willard Bay, it pays for itself.

Several years ago you got $2 off camping. Too bad it doesn't happen now.

I fish at Strawberry a lot. Is there a pass for the federally controlled waters??

Re: [jscottphisher] Park pass - fishman - 06-19-2015

You can get a season pass for strawberry only for 90 dollars. The lady at the booth said it was valid until they leave in october? Valid for 6 months i guess? Not worth it for me.
