Hey all,
anyone have any tips on launching my great new toon? Is it as simple as backing into the seat and sitting down like with a float tube? I cant wait to get it in the water. Where is the FG? Hope she is ok.

                          thanks for the help

Yes, Its pretty similar to a tube, load up your toon with your gear step in your toon, and slowly back in the water. When you to a depth were your feet arent touching start rowing out to were you wana fish.

Easy as pie launching a pontoon. Here's a few things to remember.
1. If it's windy DON'T let go of your boat when it is not beached, it can blow away before you know it.
2. Don't put your fins on until you are sitting on your pontoon.
3. Get some rod holders on that thing.

[black]The tips you have gotten in response to your request is as good as it gets. You are gaining knowledge through other's mistakes.[/black]

A few years ago, I acquired a enclosed trailer to carry my toons, and so if possible, I launch from a boat ramp. This makes it easy, and most of all, very clean (no muddy shore line).

I go in by motor, and when I get close, I row forward into shore. Only put on and take off fins while seated in the toon.
