Briggs & Stratton kicker

Does anyone have one of those Briggs and Stratton 5 hp 4 cycle kickers? I would like to get a 4 stroke kicker and these are only 500 bucks but I would like to know how good they are.Easy to start and reliable?How about performance in cold weather winter climates?

Briggs make a fine motor for a lawn mower, but don't kid yourself. If you want a good kicker motor, you need to stick with the companies that make marine motors for a living. Evinrude, Mercury, Johnson, and even Honda is making a fine motor now. Spend the money now, or you'll under go a lot of heart ace later.

I've seen these on the water a few times this past year. They are very loud. Tman is correct when he says to pickup a used outboard to use. Should be able to find one for $500.00
