My beloved and I went up to DC on Saturday morning for a day on the lake.  Arrived at 9 am hoping the sun would be coming up, but it was stuck behind some clouds that kept the air temps to about 35, brrrr.    I wore shorts and a t-shirt with a hoodie and was feeling woefully underdressed for the day but stuck it out.  Motored over to the northish-east end of the lake and dropped lines with standard trout/koke gear of dodgers, hoochies, flashers, nebo super minnows etc. Color and lure didnt even seem to matter, they all caught fish.  Started getting hits immediately and commenced to troll around the Charleston end around to the west train tracks and interestingly the west side was completely dead.  I was actually hoping to pick up a few perch like I got the last time I was there a few weeks ago, but nada, not even a trout.   Worked back over to the east and immediately got hits again.   Ended up with approximately 40 cookie cutter bows and the wife scored on a roughly 17-18" football that gave her a good fight.  We left around 1 to try to get home for the  BYU game and the air temps were about 65 and lovely.  We could have made it a 100 fish day but we only kept 3 poles out since we were tending to bites the entire time and left in early afternoon. What a great day to be out.

Great report and pics, that one bow, by itself, look like a nice fatty. You are a lucky man to have your wife go out fishing with you.

I wish I could get her to join me on the ice but she has her limits lol!
