Double-dipping at RP & Echo --- a shore thing
#1
But not a sure thing.  Have enjoyed some good Oct/Nov shore fishing at both places, but not today.  Started at 9am in the NW corner of RP dam, but not even a bite drop-shotting shad-shapes & throwing single-tail grubs.  Walked across the dam to the NE corner off that big rock outcropping (not an island now) and got some perch & smallies, but only 8-9"ers.  Drove to nearby Echo and fished the NE corner where we tore 'em up the past few weeks in a boat, but only a rainbow to show for all my walking and bouldering.  One boat getting keeper perch, but they were out another long cast from what I could reach.  Called it a morning around noon.  Ramp still good to go at Echo; 6 boats out & about there.

Mike,
That was me out ‘another long cast’ from you today.
I am so sorry I did not recognize you or else I would have drove over and picked you up!
I had a first for me today on a ‘double species’ on my tandem Perch rig.
Lots and lots of 9’s but could not bust the 10” mark.
We caught four Smallies with my buddy Dewey getting the best one.

Never been good at identifying the whose boat thing, but embarrassing to say the least.  At 75 my eyesight ain't too good, and you probably
noticed I wasn't exactly Sir Edmund Hillary going up & down those boulders.   I was wondering why both guys were fishing out the back
while spot-locking, and now I remember that's your Command Central when you set up on perch.  I saw you guys yank a nice smallie here & there.  That entire half-mile stretch up in that corner is money come fall.
