Slow Willard Friday
#1
Juma and I fished Willard after several weeks of absence. The water depth and clarity is the same as it was a month ago, low and muddy., the water temp was 52 when I looked mid morning. We got launched and started fishing off of Eagle Beach in about 9’ of water working our way south ending our day at noon off of the north end of freeway bay. We only caught 11 cats on various whirly fligs tipped with chub going .5 mph.

You did better than we did earlier this week. We had a few perch on but we never got them in. Hope things change soon.

How is the water level? Did you launch at the north marina?

Water level hasn't changed much in the last month. North is where we launched from, you should be fine as long as you launch and go straight out the channel. Don't try and go out to those Summer docking spots, way too shallow.
