Fishing has been off the past three days, just too much wind. To put it another way, the wind has been making sounds like a man with his testicles caught in a vice with an ex-wife on the handle -- howling. Sustained winds of 30-40 mph with gusts up to 70 mph. Try casting into the wind and get a facefull of hooks. And with a new cold front knocking on the door (we can get snow into July, and have), the fishing has been off. But better times are coming.

Just got back from a week of combined skiing and fishing. The fishing was in the Fraser, CO area and was great!! Had a little wind, but nothing like you described. All the fishing was stream fishing with ultralight equipment using 2 lb. line. Landed at least eight browns in the 16 to 18 inch range, a lot of brookies -- a couple went 14 inches, and a nice 16 inch rainbow.

The skiing was great too, but sure could use more of that snow you mentioned.
