Help needed, Visiting Hawaii Oct 11 -18

I will be staying at the Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu. I am trying to decide if it will be a good time to try deep sea fishing (never done it, just a Utah guy that has only fished the rocky mountains). Need reccommendations on where, who, etc.

You probably do know by now they had a fairly nasty earth quake recently. You may want to be sure to ask him if that has effected the fishing.
