Great looking Bass and lures. I haven't seen them before but worth checking out!

Nice looking Peacocks. I have only caught those in the Amazons, Florida and Hawaii. The lure appears to be sturdy enough to handle them.

I was using the Megabait live jigs down there. They slam on the Peacocks, Piraibas, Payaras and even the Arapaimas hit them. I used some others similar to the ones in your photos. They tend to do well.
On the other side of the coin......I was also using a white wooden plug and having good results with the Arapaimas. They will eat just about anything that moves. lol

I get that quite often in my area. I catch an Ocean Whitefish and it gets grabbed up by a Black Sea Bass. Other times I am fishing for Ling Cod and bring up a nice one. Attached to the nice one may be a hitchhiker of a nicer one. 2 for one is not a bad deal.
The toughest ones are when I fish for Humboldt Squid. These guys get between 50 and 80lbs by the time they are in my area. We get them on a heavy jig dropped vertically. Ocassionally I will pull up one and that one will get attacked by another. Now there are 2 on the line. My best pull was 4 at the same time. Fortunately I was rigged for that accident. lol I ended up with about 250lbs of squid on my deck from just that pull.
Never attempt Humboldt Squid on a float tube. That is the best way to become a chum bucket for thousands of other squid. [pirate]

I go on my regular boat for squidding. I would never enter the ocean on a tube during the time of the Humboldt Squid. lol I was very prepared for squid since there is no limit. We are able to hold about 2000lbs of them on my boat.[cool]

If you catch that much, do you sell them, freeze them or give them away?

Before I got my commercial license, I would only keep about 50lbs to use as bait throughout the year and some for Squid Steaks or fried Calamari as it is known. Now I sell them to market but still keep my 50lbs for back up. i found that partially sundried squid works well on striped bass and channel cats. Flatheads seem to go for bigger and fresher pieces. I rig it like a "Jig n Pig" and they love it.[cool]
