New reel with penn rod

Nothing wrong with a 3000 series. I use mostly 2000 but my bigger rods have 3000. I believe you have a med. weight rod so it should be a good match. Bigger reels seem to not get the distance as well, but it could be me. Put a heavy line like it and use it for pulling a frog or creature bait through grass or matts. good setup for tough areas.
