Couple week ago my bride and I were fishing Otter Creek. In watching some of the folks nearby we were having more than our fair share of success.
At about 12 pm the wind picked up to I would guess to about 15mph. The bite totally stopped. We fished for another 1 1/2hrs then drug up.
The same thing happened to a friend at Otter Creek yesterday.
The only thing I can make of this is that there must have been large swings in the barometric pressure. I don't think there would be a lot of excess noise and have this bother the fish.
