800-936-7398

Fishing is really picking up. The Red Man Tournament this last weekend only took 11
pounds to win but the winds were up and there was a cold front. Now on Wednesday
night, the local tournament from 5:30pm until 8:30pm took 23 pounds. to win. Not bad
for three hours of fishing. The boat canals on the east side of the lake are holding fish.
Also there is hydrilla toping off. On the west side of the lake in open water there have
been some schooling fish inside of Goblet’s Cove. Your bigger fish are still coming from
open water in about five to six feet over hydrilla. But you can catch nice limits of fish on
the inside in skinny water. Also, the Kissimmee grass on the outside edge are holding
flipping fish. I have been seeing a lot of nice fish busting bait in heavy grasses. The key to
open water fish is finding the green hydrilla that has not been effected by the dropping of
pellets to kill it off. The fish seem to be concentrating in these areas. We are still catching
some fish that are still full of row that have not spawned out yet. The water level is still
good. On Toho, look for clean water and stay out of the water where you see dying
weeds that are brown. These are areas where spraying to kill the weeks has taking place.

See you next week,

Captain Chuck
Pro Bass Guide

Fishing Tip: When fishing the inside grass and pads, try swimming a worm through the
open pockets.

Captain Chuck Matthews 800-936-7398
