Sad fact about the average UT fisherman is they think they have to keep fish, like as a trophy or something. Stansbury has been a great fishery for years, but I 80 was even better with bigger fish. Once word got out about that place it was completely emptied of Bass in a year and we are talking thousands of them over 2 lbs.
Seems like guys have to keep everything they catch and 90% of the time it gets chucked in the garbage can. If fisherman would do a little education and realize that fish dont get big fast in Utah. Harvesting the big fish just leaves the runts, then the carp take over
I can see both sides of the issue, but Stansbury is a private lake and have to agree with Clark. I would be ticked as well. If folks dont stop abusing private property, the chance to fish it will be taken away.
I wish there were more places like it. Who knows maybe the ponds out at Daybreak will be good one day.
