I keep telling myself I want to buy a boat, but that is just not in the budget right now. Float tubes are much more affordable and I am thinking about getting one. I do not know anything about float tubes, or fishing from a tube. I've been looking on the Cabela's website to try and get some ideas. The cheapest tube is the Classic Accessories - Teton model for $89. They range up in price from there with Creek Company models around $129, and then up to FishCat 4 models starting at $189. I really have no idea how to pick out a float tube. Does anyone have any personal experience with tubes? I would love some help in picking out a tube. Do you get more out of the more expensive tubes, or will the cheaper tube work just as well? Also, what accessories will I need with a tube. I'm assuming I will need some waders to keep my legs dry, and some sort of fins for kicking in the water. I would appreciate any tips that anyone can give me on picking a float tube/accessories and any techniques for fishing from a float tube.
