[#0000ff]Good discussion on quality vs price. We have had a few before. Doesn't change. Better to spend a little more than you wanted to than not quite enough.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The current scenario with Toyota is a good example of taking quality for granted. No matter how good the reputation of a product things can happen to cost you money and create potential injury. We can never assume anything as absolute and never take any purchase for granted. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]And, as you point out, common sense should always prevail. Whenever we go upon the water it is up to us to take all possible precautions to assure that IF we have a problem it does not become a life threatening situation.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]A bit of discomfort and embarrassment is better than the agony that others might go through if you didn't come home because of something you did or did not do. And, losing some gear on the way to shore is infinitely better than losing your life.[/#0000ff]
