One thing to think about. There are some great deals on the ODC 420, but that's what they are... Deals. Before I had bought mine (yes, I'm a happy user), I could not find one for under $179 (plus shipping), and saw them for up to $199 or so. I was looking online for months, only finding evidence of past deals that I had missed. I absolutely jumped on mine at $149 (shipping not included).
What I'm saying is, even though there seem to be a LOT of good deals on them lately, don't think of it as a $100 tube. Because it isn't. I really wanted one, and almost "resorted" to a FC4 before I was "saved" by the $149 deal. And I was disappointed when I thought I was going to end up with the FC4.
And no, I have nothing against the FC4. I just had my heart set on the ODC. I mostly liked the little bit of extra size/capacity, and the SFC wasn't in my budget. I'm not a huge guy, but weigh a decent amount (>200) and like to haul a lot of gear.
