Spending more doesn't guarantee safety was my point. Depends on how you use it. There might be other reasons for spending more.

[#0000ff]The current scenario with Toyota is a good example of taking quality for granted. No matter how good the reputation of a product things can happen to cost you money and create potential injury. We can never assume anything as absolute and never take any purchase for granted. [/#0000ff]

PS. For FG: Safety distance from shore is highly variable depending on depth, wind conditons, personal health, etc. I have gone thousands of yards from shore at the flats of the Tx coast - but you can stand up at any time and be in knee deep water at most, and easily walk back if you avoid sting rays.
