There has to be more Perch now than in the past.. I finally caught one last winter... 
Maybe it cause I fish more now.. Just sayin
10 or 15 years ago there were some old timers that spent a lot of time at the State Marina catching perch through the ice.. I never did think to ask how many they were catching in a day.. I know they weren't as big as some of the ones that have been caught in the last couple of years..
Mine was 13 inches and a friend of mine caught one just over 13
