Although I've already posted a long reply on strange things I've caught fishing, Daymere's story of the duck reminded me of the time I was fishing in King's Harbor off Redondo Beach. We were fishing live anchovies and a gull swooped down and took my brother-in-law's bait. As happened with Daymere and his duck, that gull nearly beat us to death before we could get it off the hook!!
