Arrived at the Berry at 6:30am. We had a great day. Between 2 friends and I we iced 73 cutts. Didn't get a single bow all day. We ended up with 6 fish over the slot, with the biggest being 24 3/4".

Might be heading back up there on Monday.

Hey, Tyler, where did you go? How was the weather - it, and a big honey-do list, kept me from getting out.

I have been twice this year and have caught plenty of fish, but have not iced any above the slot yet. Whats your secret? Where? with what?

I fished between 30-40 feet. Used 3" tube jigs tipped with meal worms and minnows. 2 of the larger fish were caught on a 4" tube with the biggest red shiners I had.
The key to doing well at the Berry is GET AWAY FROM THE CROWDS. Walk an extra 10 minutes for more fish. When walking back we talked to quite a few groups that had been there for hours landing maybe 2 fish. We were fishing prolly 500-600 yards away from these people and caught 70 more fish.
Anyway, it was a great day. Anybody else heading up this week?

The weather was actually pretty good. When we got there it was snowing pretty hard, but by 7:30 the snow had slowed down considerably and the wind wasn't blowing. When we got out of the car at 6:30am the temp was 30 degrees. Didn't wear gloves all day!

Thanks for the info. I am going out on the Berry tomorrow (Tuesday), I will try to get away from the crowds to see what happens. I'll post a report, but I'm a little worried that the storm will disturb the fish.
