rested. Checked the ice at Rockport today. 3 inches at the boat ramp. The whole lake is capped. Also did a drive by at echo. The whole lake is capped it is the first pic. I assume it's about the same thickness as rockport. I also drove by Jordanelle looks like about a third of the lake has ice. Should go in a couple of days with these temps. Deer Creek has some ice at the inlet. Did not check the thickness. I believe it will go in the next few days with these temps as well. I heard Strawberry went over and current creek went over. Haven't heard anything on starvation. The slush at Huntington refroze. But a good work out getting down on the ice. 6-8 inches of snow on the ice. Still fishing like a hatchery Lol. Daughter-in-law got a 19 incher the other day. she was a happy camper. I'll let you guess what she caught him on. I'm looking for someone to go hunt down the Perch with me. send me a P.M. if you're interested.

Echo still had open water yesterday morning.
Crazy how fast it goes when the temperatures get down this low.

Saw one tent at Echo very, very, very close to the shore. Strawberry was awesome today. Hit Mantua last week, no perch just a few smallish trout. Ready for a perch fry.

Rockport capped the whole lake overnight last night (as you mentioned) I see a ton of stress fractures across the ice today already due to the really cold temps and low dew point. I took a pic yesterday night and this morning at 8AM. I doubt anything but the ramp is safe right now and even that might be sketchy. I didn't see any huts on the lake today.

Would be fun to join you Glen if it weren't for that four letter word known as WORK. Hope to get rid of that excuse one of these days.

Another great post, PIKEMAN. Detailed description & pics. You would have made a fine private detective in another life, monitoring the midnight exploits of wayward souls.
My buddy & I thinking of Mantua Tues morn, unless you can talk us into going instead to Rockport.
Hey.....one last thing.....How come no mention of you in that half-page feature in DesNews on Redmond Salt over the wkend? An employee who walks on water, and not even a word.
