Does anyone have any idea when bass will spawn at Quail or Gunlock, or even Newcastle this year?

About the best indicator of spawning time is water temperature. However, the optimum spawning water temperature for Bucketmouths differs a bit from one body of water to another. I don't know the exact number for Quail. A rather broad range of water temperatures that they will spawn in is 62 - 75 degrees. Start frequenting Quail when the water temp's hit that range and you may catch them spawning. I found 66 - 68 degrees to be about the right range at Lake Mead.

Late April ... May This is when the southern lakes start to heat up! Can you tell me how to get to Newcastle?
