I recently acquired a happy trolling plate..which will be beneficial in the future. However I for see a problem with getting the plate back up into locking position for full throttle[fishin]..Can anyone give me some tips?? Can I disconnect the locking part and have it work like the troll-a-matic.. also what does a man got to do to be able to post on the general forums on Utah fishing forum??would love to post my fishing adventures..[fishin] Good or bad

I don't know anything about the trolling plate so can't help you out there, but here is a link for the general board. You can post all your adventures there. I will move this to the boat board where others will see it and can help you out.

It should automatically pop up when you accelerate. There is usually a place where a rope can be attached to trip the plate to the up position also.
