So the toon I bought for cheap didn't have a motor mount and wasn't a big deal as I didn't plan to put on a motor, but when i found the good deal on the motor I needed a mount. Didn't want to spend the money on a new toon platform so I found a cheap creeper (used for working under cars) removed the wheels and it fit perfect as a deck, found a nice piece of hard plastic drain grate at Home Depot and attached the creeper to the back deck and attached the grate to the creeper...solid as a rock and was about $30. Plenty of space for a battery and a cooler!

		[#0000FF]Lookin' good...even without PVC.
Now you gotta put it on the water and make sure you have the seats located right for level balance. Toons without motor mounts are likely to be more difficult to balance out without being back-heavy.

Lookin good. As TD said time to balance the toon. Move your frame forward. When you sit in the toon it needs to sit level. I have a Leigh toon which has no frame. I built a motor mount and platform using PVC and an outcast motor mount. Had to move my frame a couple inches forward is all.

Don't forget to register it. Mine costs me $37.50. Any toon or tube with a motor needs to be registered.

In lieu of attaching the stickers/numbers to the bladders I made played out of plastic sheeting. Easy to mount and easier to be seen.

Nice job . I have added platforms ,and mounts to a couple friends boats.
I modified my old sportsman 9 , I added a little larger aluminum platform then what comes on the Scadden boats . Then I had to move everything forward a bit to level, I am actually 6" off center forward on the frame . that might give you a reference point to start with, I would guess that would work pretty close with either a 8 or 9 foot boat.

Thomas Edison would be impressed with your inventiveness. Creating a solution is usually more fun than buying a solution.

Pretty slick! It has been awhile since I had the two pontoon thing and balancing out. You will figure it out. I went with a NFO Magnum deck which is 24" wide. Pretty cool, but with a U boat balancing isn't an issue.
Look forward to seeing you on the water. Licenses are $38.50....

Went and got it registered today, my pool melted this week so I threw it in to make sure it floats (don't laugh at my dirty pool, will be swimmable by summer) seems to float fine.

A pinch low in the back, and with the motor running could dip more, but looks better than most I have seen.
